He had a gravelly voice and I could tell he was elderly, but he galvanized the attention of the people in the stands when he announced the starting lineups. For some reason I especially remember when he growled "Jim Wynn," who was having a good year for the Dodgers, and hit one of eight home runs blasted that day. Sadly, that was one of the last games Pieper ever announced. The whole day was a wonderful memory, despite the Cubs' loss.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02898200361426077889noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-916244525704951667.post-11148581550022962412013-10-10T20:53:58.071-04:002013-10-10T20:53:58.071-04:00Here you go: http://www.justonebadcentury.com/audi...Here you go: http://www.justonebadcentury.com/audio/pieper_1932_Cubs_lineup.mp3Justinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16052453841540878664noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-916244525704951667.post-26752861127178050942013-04-29T19:36:05.508-04:002013-04-29T19:36:05.508-04:00I am in search of a sound bit of Pat Pieper's ...I am in search of a sound bit of Pat Pieper's voice.TheSecretGuyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02827547880971990889noreply@blogger.com
