I picked up a complete set of 33 Cognac Cubs on October 10. I got them from a very popular dealer, someone I've bought from many times before. He shipped the cards the next day, and the USPS tracking showed the cards were at his local post office. I figured that I'd have the cards by the 14th or 15th at the latest. So I went ahead and wrote yesterday's post on the Hall of Fame Cognac Cubs (which came from other dealers) last weekend, which is when I write a lot of my posts. The Hall of Famers were scheduled for the 20th and I started working on this post and scheduled it for today, the 21st. I figured that would give me plenty of time to get the cards delivered and then scanned in.
Well, I figured wrong. For an entire week the USPS tracking showed the cards were still at the dealer's post office. So on the 18th I email him. He got back to me the next day and said that he recently sent out 700 packages and had a problem with a couple. Lucky me, mine was one of them. He also said the post office would look into my missing cards. Now I was getting nervous. I could schedule another post for today, but I really didn't want to have to get all of the cognac cards from a slew of dealers.
Low and behold, on the 20th the USPS tracking info changed and it showed that the cards were now at my areas large distribution center! What once was lost has now been found!. The cards came yesterday. I scanned them in right away and got today's post finished up.
I decided not to show the cards individually, since you've already got a look at them in the base and sparkly versions. Instead, I made a collage of all 33 together. This way you get the full effect of the cognac. After all, what's the point of having some cognac if your not going to get the full effect. Cheers!
Cool! Don't drink and drive.
