I've got 21,803 Cubs cards from 317 different brands listed on a spreadsheet. A random number generator picked five cards, one each from the past several decades.
1900s - 1970s: 1977 TCMA All Time Cubs Ernie Banks That is not a very flattering picture of Mr. Cub. The card design isn't very good either and that leaves us with a pretty ugly card of Mr. Cub.
1980s: 1980 Laughlin 300/400/500 #27 Ernie Banks The RNG says "Let's Pick Two". Not only that, but the head shot is the same in both cards. The card comes from a set by the cartoonist Robert Laughlin and all the players either won 300 games, hit .400, or have 500+ career homers.
2000s: 2008 Baseball Heroes Blue #150 Rich Hill He made his debut as a 25-year-old rookie for the Cubs in 2005. Who would have known then that he would still be in the big leagues at age 43?
