I've got a short summary of the player's season and then a look at all of the cards I've added in 2009.
Sometimes you don't realize how valuable a player is until the player is out of the lineup. That would be true of Aramis Ramirez.
He dislocated his shoulder on May 8 in Milwaukee and would miss almost two full months. When he was in the lineup, the Cubs were 45-37, a .549 clip. Their record without Ramirez was 38-41. which is .481.
For the season, he hit .317 with 15 HR and 65 RBIs in 82 games . Double those numbers for a complete season and you can see he had a nice year. And though he came back in July, it was pretty obvious that he was not 100%.
I'm looking forward to a healthy Aramis Ramirez to play 162 games in 2010 and hit .320 with 35 HRs and 125 RBIs.
For the year, I added ten new Ramirez cards to my collection.
