Bad Autographs

After I put the tile together for yesterday's post, I spent some time browsing through my autograph binder.

There are some really bad autographs in there.  The teacher in me cringes when I look at some of them.

I'm going to let you play a little game....Name that Player.

It's simple.  Look at the autograph and name that player.  There's no prize or anything; its just for fun.  And to help you out a little, all ten of the players have played for the Cubs within the past five seasons.

Enjoy deciphering the scribbling and I'll have the answers tomorrow.

  1. Those aren't bad. At least they moved the pen for more than one or two lines.

    These are terrible autographs...http://www.sportscollectorsdaily.com/gallery-awful-autographs/

  2. 1. Carl Edwards Jr.

    I'm lost after that!

  3. 1. Carl Edwards Jr. I went to his recent autograph session in Chicago so I have it on my wall!

    3. Szczur. His autos can be found for good deals on eBay so I've seen this one often!

    4. This one reminds me of Chris Coghlan but I don't think he has any auto cards in the Cubs uniform.

    5. Dexter Fowler.

    6. Addison Russell. This one actually looks pretty clear to me!

    9. Jason Hammel. I've had this card in my eBay shopping cart but he keeps having bad outings and I keep not buying it!

    10. I would guess Ben Zobrist but don't think he's had a Cubs issued auto card. Hmmmm...

Jason Heyward, Baez and Soler all have really pretty signatures! They would get my votes for the Best ones!

    1. #7 is definitely Lake... Topps went overboard on him a couple of years ago and I would recognize that scribble anywhere!
