No Tickets

On Monday I (along with a million other Cubs fans) got the following email:

No NLDS for me.

The good news is that I will be in the drawing for tickets to the NLCS.  And if I don't get picked, I would be still alive for World Series tickets.  Honestly, I'd rather go to the World Series over the NLDS.

So here's hoping that the Cubs make it to the Series and that I get picked in the ticket lottery.

  1. Have you considered a trusted secondary seller like StubHub?

    1. Considered, but can't afford. I read somewhere online that Cubs playoff tickets are going to be the most expensive MLB playoff tickets ever.

  2. I'm hoping for a Cubs-Nats matchup so I can see them here in DC. Should still be cheaper than Wrigley.

  3. I went to Busch last year and saw the Cubs defeat the Cardinals in a game. I think I paid about a fourth of the price I would have at Wrigley.

FWIW, I also was shut out for NLDS tix.

  4. i remember my dad telling me back in '88 that he won the ticket lottery for dodger world series tickets to game 1. watching the nlcs against the mets knowing that if the dodgers advanced i would go to a world series game, was way more nerve-racking than it would have otherwise been. obviously, the dodgers beat the mets and i got to go to game 1 of the series with my dad and it was one of the greatest experiences of my life (we didn't leave early).
