Five Random Cubs Cards

I've got 21,253 Cubs cards from 316 different brands listed on a spreadsheet. A random number generator picked five cards, one each from the past several decades.

1900s - 1970s: 1979 Topps #592 Mike Krukow Krukow had a non-descript 1979 season, going 9-9 with an ERA of 4.21.

1980s: 1989 O-Pee-Chee #44 Kevin Coffman  We have one of OPC's "Now with" cards.  Coffman came to the Cubs at the tail end of the 1988 season for Jody Davis.

1990s: 1992 MCI #5 Bill Madlock  I love posed shots like this with Wrigley Field in the background.   I wonder how much before game time this picture was taken, because the bleachers look packed.

2000s: 2002 Studio #213 Juan Cruz I always thought this guy was going to be pretty good for the Cubs.  He was 3-1 over eight starts in 2002, but didn't follow up that success in 2003.  His record fell to 3-11 and he spent most of the season working out of the bullpen.  He ended up pitching for seven different teams over his twelve year career.

2010s: 2016 Topps Holiday #171 Jake Arrieta This was a great set to pick up, fresh off of the World Series win.
