2020 Stadium Club Cubs

Originally scheduled to be released in June, Stadium Club was pushed back into September due to the pandemic.  It's out now and I've got all of the Cubs cards.

Night Owl likes to give a name to Topps sets, based on their design.  As soon as I saw a card I had a name for 2020 Stadium Club.

It's the NPR set.

There are 13 Cubs cards in the 300-card set.

Let's get this one out of the way right now.

Three of the 13 are retired.  The picture on the Banks card is one I've not seen on a card before.  It is a colorized version of an original black and white photo.  I'll have more on it tomorrow.

Stadium Club is noted for the photography.  I'm impressed with what they used with the exception of the Schwarber card.  You should be able to see the player's face.

  1. I don't think I've ever named a Stadium Club set (although last year's was definitely the "Lord of the Rings/Game of Thrones set). NPR is a good one!

  2. Is the reason you didn't do a post on Alec Mills because he has no actual printed MLB cards? I've been looking to find any and all I've seen are minor league cards or customs and digital cards. Your 2018 seems to be the most popular in the searches I've done. A no-no from a guy who doesn't even have his first real trading card yet. Still mind blowing.

  3. Does the Topps Now release not count?
