Series 2 Leather and Patches

Of all the different inserts from Topps 2011, these are my least favorite. I just don't like these contrived, made up fake cards.

It was a bit easier to get these in series 1, since there was only one patch and one glove. This time, I had three gloves to chase. The only redeeming thing is that they were three of my favorite Cubs, all Hall of Famers.







The patch...Matt Garza.



Not one of my favorites and not a Hall of Famer. And I still don't understand the concept behind these. What connection does Matt Garza have to the 1968 Cubs. And for that matter, why the 1968 Cubs? What is noteworthy about a 84-78 team that finished in third place?
