Here's how the number of cards has varied over the years.
0 cards - 2001, 2007, 2011, 2014
1 card - 2005, 2006
2 cards - 2002, 2003, 2004, 2013, 2015
4 cards - 2008, 2010, 2012
5 cards - 2009
6 cards - 2016, 2021
8 cards - 2018
10 cards - 2017, 2019
11 cards - 2020
I've made two tiles to show the collection. The horizontal tile has cards from 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2010, 2012, 2013, 2015, 2016, 2018, 2019, and 2021. The vertical years were 2008, 2009, 2017, and 2020.
Look them over and see if you can find the design item that is missing for the first time ever with the 2021 cards.
Did you figure out that was missing from 2021?
In every set until then, the words "Clubhouse Collection" were written with a script font. The script was replaced by the funky 1972 font this year. Usually I don't like to see a tradition broken, but I am very fine with this change. I really like the the 2021 CC cards look like 1972 cards. I hope that Topps continues that in future years.
It also looks like they left off the player's position.
ReplyDeleteIt is impressive.
ReplyDeleteGreat collection.
ReplyDeleteOf all the base 'relic' cards Topps produces, Heritage looks the best.
