I've spent several days showing my collection of Cubs gameday programs, starting with Dallas Green's first in 1982.
But that isn't actually Volume 1 Number 1.
The Cubs first four-page scorecard was sold in 1948. But prior to that, they published programs with the scorecard inside.
I already owned the 1941 and 1947 programs. You can take a look at every page of the 1941 book in this post and read about the autographs here.
Recently I started working on filling in the gaps between 1941 and 1947. I've picked up two, from 1945 and 1946.
My goal is to get all the programs from the 1940s, which is when the Cubs first started printed multi-page programs.
