T206 Cubs: Mordecai Brown

I guess it would be appropriate that Three Finger Brown would have three different T206 cards.

First up is the portrait card

followed by the "Chicago on shirt" card,

and lastly, the "Cubs on shirt" card.

The designations for the cards come from the Standard Catalog. If it's good enough for them, it's good enough for me!

If you wondered why he picked up the nickname "Three Finger," this is why:

Childhood accidents caused him to loose his index finger and badly deform his middle finger. He used this to his advantage as it allowed him to throw a wicked breaking ball. Brown the the ace of the Cubs staff, winning at least 20 games from 1906-1911. He was elected to the Hall of Fame in 1949.

He was also selected to the Cubs' All Century Team in 1999.
