Barney 2011 Finest Finished

I have finished my 2011 Finest Darwin Barney rainbow!  It only took four years.  During that time Barney went from being a hot prospect, to a Gold Glove winner, to good glove no stick, to a Dodger, to an AAA player.

The rainbow has two parts to it, the base card and it's parallels plus the auto/jersey card with all of it's parallels.  I've had the base cards for a while and was missing one auto/jersey...the red version

It's missing no more!  I was able to get this as a BIN off of Ebay and it was a fraction of the price of the available ones on COMC.  It is a /25, so there weren't going to be too many chances to pick it up.  I didn't pay a premium for it, but it is #15/25 and Barney wore #15 with the Cubs.

Here's what was available for the base cards, and I've bolded the cards I've got.  The missing are /10, /5, or 1/1s and I don't expect to see any of them.

Base Card
Refractor (serial-numbered to 549 copies)
X-Fractor (serial-numbered to 299 copies)
Green Refractor (serial-numbered to 199 copies)
Orange Refractor (serial-numbered to 99 copies)
Gold Refractor (serial-numbered to 50 copies)
Red Refractor (serial-numbered to 25 copies)
Die-Cut Mosaic Refractor (serial-numbered to ten copies)
Purple Refractor (serial-numbered to five copies)
Canary Diamond Refractor (one-of-one)
SuperFractor (one-of-one)
Framed Printing Plates (four-for-each)

The auto/relic cards include:
Refractor (serial-numbered to 499 copies)
Green Refractor (serial-numbered to 149 copies)
Orange Refractor (serial-numbered to 99 copies)
Gold Refractor (serial-numbered to 69 copies)
Red Refractor (serial-numbered to 25 copies)
Die-Cut Mosaic Refractor (serial-numbered to ten copies)
Purple Refractor (serial-numbered to five copies)
SuperFractor (one-of-one)
Framed Printing Plates (four-for-each)

As with the base, I'm just missing the die-cut and the 1/1s.

Here is the Final Finest!

  1. Well done. I'd like to do another rainbow at some point, but not being able to get all the 1/1s would drive me crazy. You may never see them because it might be sitting in an overpriced pack on the shelf of a brick and mortar store somewhere in Fargo, ND, destined to never see the light of day.
