The name in 2001 is E-X again, and it will remain that through the product's run.
There are 140 cards in the 2001 edition. The first 100 are the base. Card numbers 101-130 are rookies or prospects numbered to /1999, /2499, or 2,999. The final ten cards are /499.
The cards are printed on a plastic stock, not cardboard, but they are not clear.
There are five Cubs in the set and two are the numbered rookies. Corey Patterson's card is /1,999 while Oswaldo Mairena is /2999.
A Corey Patterson autograph in 2001 would have been a hot ticket. Is that an in person auto? Cubs Convention perhaps?
ReplyDeleteGood question on the Patterson. There are autographed versions of the card, but they are just some, but not all of the numbered base cards. That means that anyone could sign a base card and there'd be no way of knowing if it is authentic or not. I’m thinking mine is fake. The picture of the card on TCDB is signed in black ink. The signature on mine also doesn’t look very legit.
ReplyDeleteAhhh, that's a bummer.
