1978 SSPC Cubs, The Pitchers
Yesterday's post featured the position players from SSPC's 1978 Cubs set. Today it's the pitchers' turn. There are 11 in the group include Hall of Famer Bruce Sutter. The ace of the starters was Rick Reuschel, who was coming off of a 20 win season. His brother Paul was also on staff. Otherwise, there wasn't much to write home about here.

Most of those guys were either near the end (Roberts and Fryman) or went on to bigger things elsewhere. Paul R. was about the only one who didn't do much outside of the Cubs. Of course, he didn't do much with the Cubs either.
