All Star Gallery 1978 National League Hall of Famers

Last week I showed the Cubs cards from SSPC's All Star Gallery Magazine. In addition to the cards, the magazine featured write ups on 22 all stars from each league. Today and tomorrow I'll show the articles that were done on any of the players that ended up in Cooperstown.

Today I show the National Leaguers. Of the 22 featured, seven had hall of fame careers, though Pete Rose never made it to the hall. The non hall players were John Candelaria, Willie Montanez, Bill Madlock, Ellis Valentine, Bob Watson, Jeff Burroughs, Ted Simmons, Ron Cey, Steve Garvey, Reggie Smith, George Foster, Dave Parker, Greg Luzinski, Larry Bowa, and Bobby Murcer.
