Five Random Cubs Cards
I've got 14,871 Cubs cards from 121 different brands listed on a spreadsheet. A random number generator picked five cards, one each from the past several decades.
1900s - 1970s: 1961 Topps #169 Don Elston Don sure is one happy looking Cub. His performance in 1961 was not much to smile about. He was 6-7 with a bloated ERA of 5.59
1980s: 1987 Topps #697 Ed Lynch This card is high up on the list of all-time ugly Cubs cards. Between the airbrushed hat and the bizarre face it is a complete mess.
1990s: 1992 Conlon #459 Roger Bresnahan Tje card highlights his 1913 season with the Cubs. There weren't many highlights as he hit just .228.
2000s: 2002 Fleer #122 Augie Ojeda Augie spent the bulk of the 2002 season in AAA. With the Cubs he played in just 30 games and hit a minuscule .186
2010s: 2013 Cubs Ticket #54 Darwin Barney This is the second of two appearance of Darwin on 2013 Cubs tickets. A crowd of 32,000 saw the Dodgers beat the Cubs 6-2. Barney was 2-4 with an RBI.
1900s - 1970s: 1961 Topps #169 Don Elston Don sure is one happy looking Cub. His performance in 1961 was not much to smile about. He was 6-7 with a bloated ERA of 5.59
