Ryne Sandberg becomes the third Cub to be included in the Living Set as he was one of three players available last week. Ryno must still have lots of collectors out there because the print run on his card was 7,212. His run was much higher than the other two players last week, Yasiel Puig with 4,886 and Dustin Fowler, 4,808.
I must commend Topps for the quick turnaround. I ordered the card last week on Tuesday and it was here in eight days, with free shipping.
The card also looks much nicer than the last time Topps put out a '52 version of Ryno.
This 2016 Archives card looks nasty.
Anthony Rizzo drops this week, will be interesting which Cubs legend gets one next, Ernie, Billy Williams, Fergie Jenkins, Sosa, or Dawson?
ReplyDeleteOne thing the Archives Ryno has going for it that the Living Set one doesn't is it has a background. Too many of the Living Set cards don't have backgrounds, which makes them seem inauthentic given that '53 Topps is kinda famous for its backgrounds.
