The 2021 Allen & Ginter set has it's customary 350 cards including 50 short prints. There are 12 Cubs among the 350 cards.
Want to guess how many of the 12 Cubs are currently with the team?
Hint: It's not a very big number.
Yup, just two of the 12 are current Cubs.
And what about the other ten cards?
We have the big three traded...
There are also lots of retired Cubs in this year's set. In fact, half of the Cubs are not playing any longer. There are more Cubs from the 1969 team than are currently with the team in 2021. That's messed up.... and it's not even Topps' fault.
You can probably guess who got the twelfth card...
... of course we have to have another appearance by Brailyn Marquez.

ReplyDeleteThe stuff like Aramis Ramirez who has been out of MLB for like 5 years is so irritating. Does anyone wish they had another Ramirez card to collect 10 years after he was a Cub? Sometimes I think everyone working at Topps is 25, which might not be that far off.
