1900s - 1970s: 1961 Post #194 Don Cardwell I knew that Cardwell pitched a no-hitter in his first appearance as a Cub and the card makes mention of that, too. I didn't realize that the rest of his 1960 season wasn't very good, 9-16 with an ERA of 4.37

Five Random Cubs Cards
I've got 15,090 Cubs cards from 122 different brands listed on a spreadsheet. A random number generator picked five cards, one each from the past several decades.

1980s: 1988 Star '88 #6 Andre Dawson This is an odd looking card. I can't decide if it was doctored or not. The hat and jersey don't look quite right.
1990s: 1995 Conlon #1407 Claude Passeau Since this card was issued there has been one more World Series one-hitter. Cub pitchers have accounted for two of the five.
2000s: 2006 Upper Deck #101 Rich Hill Did anyone in 2006 expect that Rich Hill would have signed a contract ten years later worth more than $45 million?
2010s: 2014 Topps #561 Welington Castillo I always wondered where the extra L in Welington's name went. Turns out that Willson Contreras stole it.
