These are from the 1986 Sports Design Product set. The cards feature the work of J.D. McCarthy, a Detroit area photographer. There were 24 cards in the set, including these three Cubs cards. I tried to find more about the set, but for unknown reasons it is not included in the Standard Catalog (though Sports Design Products' 1984 and 1985 sets are in the book).
As you can see, the cards borrowed Topps' 1969 design. I wonder if they had permission to do that? The major difference is that all 24 cards have a purple circle, instead of team-specific colors that Topps used.
You can find these on ebay, but the prices there are much higher than what I paid. I bought these from Sportlots for a total of $2.20 delivered.

This set used to be advertised in the Fritsch catalogs (maybe it still is, I'm not sure). From what I remember it was very cheap to buy (which is unusual for Fritsch). A friend of mine bought the whole set and was quite happy.

Anyway, we all remember those great old sports jerseys, t-shirts, & caps that we had from our favorite teams growing up! The ones that you kept for as long as it took for your mother to finally give up in disgust and throw them out! Some of them you still wish you had kept!
