1900s - 1970s: 1969 Milton Bradley Phil Regan Its a good thing that MB had to airbrush out all of the logos on these because I'm pretty sure Regan is not wearing a Cubs hat or uniform. He was picked up in a trade with the Dodgers in 1968. Most of the Cubs pictures on the MB cards are from team PR photos. This is not the photo the team used of him in 1969.

Five Random Cubs Cards
I've got 14,594 Cubs cards from 110 different brands listed on a spreadsheet. A random number generator picked five cards, one each from the past several decades.
1980s: 1989 Fleer Glossy #440 Manny Trillo As we wrap up our Christmas celebrations, the RNG gives us Jesus Manuel Trillo, born December 25, 1950.
1990s: 1993 Conlon #751 Mark Koenig The story goes that the Cubs gave former Yankee Mark Keonig just half of a 1932 World Series share, as he had joined the team in August The Yankees were ticked off at the Cubs for treating their former teammate this way, soff there was lots of bad blood between the two teams. Among the results of the feud was the alleged called shot by Babe Ruth.
2000s: 2004 Throwback Threads Relic #23 Ernie Banks This beauty is in my Ernie Banks player collection. Its nice to have a pinstripe and a piece of a bat. Lets show two!
2010s: 2012 Heritage #113 Kerry Wood Image Swap This is one of the gimmick cards that Topps got all wrong (what a surprise). Its modeled after the 1963 card of Don Landrum that used a picture of Ron Santo instead of Landrum. So Topps uses a Cubs third baseman on the Heritage card, except that the Cubs third baseman Aramis Ramirez signed with the Brewers. Looks dumb to have a Brewer on a Cubs card. Also the original '63 card had a correct picture in the insert, the Heritage version has another of Ramirez.

I will not be chasing that gimmick Kerry Wood for my KW player collection. What nonsense.
