Fifteen of the 300 cards feature Cubs players. The cards have an odd design. Topps made sure you would know what position they played, but didn't make it easy to read their name or team. Usually position is the third most important piece of information, but with 2018 Stadium Club Topps made it #1.
The two cards of the fifteen that don't belong are Dillon Maples and Jen-ho Tseng. I'm tired of them popping up in so many releases. Albert Almora, Kyle Hendricks, Pedro Strop, or Ben Zobrist would have been better inclusions.
Oh man, I would have loved another Pedro Strop card. Heck, give me a card of seldom seen card of Montgomery, Cishek, Rosario or Tyler Chatwood and I would have been happier. Tseng and Maples are getting way too much love just because they're rookie who debuted last year.
ReplyDeleteThe Contreras card is the best of the bunch - someone is about to get a taste of leather!
ReplyDeleteThese are some nice cards. Happ looks like he's kicking for bonus points.
