Looking Back at 2014

Total Number of Cubs cards in the collection from 2014: 313 Cubs cards, which is 9th place.  The Cubs were in serious rebuild mode and they didn't land many players on most checklist.

Total Number of brands collected: 23.  There were two new arrivals, though not new but resurrected - Donruss and Stadium Club.  Welcome to the 1990s!

Brands and number of Cubs cards:
Topps - 58
Allen & Ginter - 27
Autographs - 8
Archives - 8
Bowman - 27
Chrome - 3
Donruss - 7
Factory team set - 17
Finest - 1
Gypsy Queen - 17
Heritage - 39
Jewish Major Leaguers - 2
Opening Day - 6
Pro Debut - 11
Relics - 6
Stadium Club - 5
Topps Stickers - 10
Turkey Red - 1

Ernie Banks - 12
Darwin Barney - 24
Andre Dawson - 5
Ryne Sandberg - 4
Billy Williams - 13

The player with the most cards:  Anthony Rizzo was the new kid in town and he ended up with 31 cards.

The nastiest looking card: It was a rule-following card, but boy is it ugly.

My favorite card:  Stadium Club nailed it with this card of Dawson posing in front of the ivy!

  1. The Dawson ivy card is just brilliant work by Stadium Club, as usual. My #2 would be Ernie's Stadium Club card. B&W works so well sometimes.
