Year - 1999
Main Brands - Topps, Fleer, Pacific, Upper Deck
Number of Players Included Among All the Sets: 28
Players Included in Every Set: 9
We are down two sets compared to the previous year. Donruss and Score are gone. For Score it was a permanent thing but Donruss would return in a couple of years.
While the number of total players didn't change much, the number of players in every set did see a decent bump.
One thing you'll notice is that a vast majority of the pictures were taken at Wrigley Field. You will see very few Cubs road uniforms. And oddly, you'll see a player a Pirates road uniform. I've also included the Fleer Mark Clark card. It designates him with the Rangers but shows him in a Cubs uniform.
I had forgotten Donruss took a break. Thanks for the efforts!
ReplyDeletePacific is probably the best set for what it is worth. Upper Decks design is a monstrosity and so is the Fleer player name and team name. The Topps cards will stick together and you could make a brick and throw it through Joe Bazooka's window
