I've got 20,949 Cubs cards from 316 different brands listed on a spreadsheet. A random number generator picked five cards, one each from the past several decades.
1900s - 1970s: 1966 Topps #392 Cubs Rookies This card has to be one of, if not the best Cubs rookie card of all time. Both players had significant careers with the Cubs. And to think that this could have been a Giants card, not a Cub card, if not for at trade on in December of 1965. That is why they are both shown wearing a Giants uniform.
1980s: 1982 Topps Traded #10 Larry Bowa In 1982 he was seen as the main part of the Ivan DeJesus trade with the Phillies. Today, that trade is known as the Ryne Sandberg trade.
1990s: 1994 Fleer #410 Rick Wilkins It looks like batboy in the bottom right corner has a huge Cubs logo on his jacket.2000s: 2006 Upper Deck #554 Scott Williamson I have absolutely no memory of Williamson pitching for the Cubs. After I looked up his record I understand why. He pitched in 31 games for the 2006 team, going 2-3 with a 5.05 ERA. And despite those unmemorable numbers, the Cubs were able to trade him in late July, to the Padres.
