Fire was both the youngest and smallest of the sets that met their demise last week. It has just six years and, I'm guessing, never made much of a dent in the market. For five of the six year it was a Target-exclusive product. I wonder if that had an effect on its passing?
It was an interesting looking product, using three different base card designs each year. The mosaic is by far the funkiest looking of the different dead sets.

Topps put out the fire. I never understood this set
ReplyDeleteIt was fun to open but yeah, it seemed to be a real focused release. If Fanatics is re-evaluating the roster, it makes sense to put out the Fire.
