1969 One Cub At A Time - #268 Al Spangler

Spangler was at the end of his career when he came to the Cubs in 1967. In fact, he spent parts of '66 and '67 in the minor leagues before his arrival in Chicago. By 1969, he was just about finished, with his average dropping 60 points from 1968. He started 52 games in right field, but never really did much. In 1970 he was a player-coach for the Cubs and would be with the team on and off until leaving for good in 1974.
