The big news with the 1990 set is that the number of pictures on each card was reduced from three to two. There are no more portrait pictures, just two action shots. I'm assuming this was a budget move. It really doesn't make sense because you've really started to take away the unique feature of the cards.
The name of the player and the border around the card don't change, but the bottom line switching between the team name and the player's position. It's hard to see on some of the pictures below. The first pictures of Damon Berryhill give the best look.
