I'm pretty much ready for First Pitch to take a break. There were five more Cubs in the second series, to go along with seven from series one. Twelve First Pitch cards total is more than the cards of actual Cubs players from series two. That is messed up.
What's worse is it reminds me I'm out of touch with what's going on in the world, because I only know two of the five shown.
ReplyDeleteI like them but needed more team variety. But like ptown said, i didn't know many names
ReplyDeleteAre the Cubs the only ones who do it for just about every home game? They must be, at least in terms of "celebrities" doing it. I feel like when I go to Nats games its someone local but not necessarily famous.
ReplyDeleteI am also in the same boat. I don't claim to be up on Hollywood and the overall music scene, but I have heard of Luke Donald and no one else from that group. Whereas in the first series I knew six of the seven. But it is getting silly, and far too many from Chicago. Less than 2/3 (19/30) of the teams in baseball were represented in the First Pitch series, which seems odd as well.
