Heritage harkens back to the good old days. Appropriately, so did my purchase of the 2022 Heritage Cubs set. Brentandbecca was back in business for Heritage and I picked up my Cubs set from him.
The Heritage formula is tried and true. This year's set didn't stray from the format. The set is based on 1973 Topps and has a checklist of 500 cards. The last 100 are short-prints.
The Cubs did much better in Heritage than they did in series one and there are total of 19 Cubs cards. As you scroll through, you may find yourself saying things like "who is this guy" or "I didn't know that he was with the Cubs."
And for what its worth, there isn't a single Cub player with the Rookie Card designation. After the past couple years of endless rookie cards for no-chance players, it will be nice to not have sets clogged up with these rookies.
Heritage is good for getting the lesser known (but just as important) players! Hopefully I can find some packs in the wild.
