2023 Bowman Scouts Top 100 Cubs

The Scouts Top 100 insert set has been a part of Bowman since 2010 and it continues its run in the 2023 set.  The cards have never identified the author of the ranking.   Is it Baseball America, MLB, some guys in the Topps office?  Anyone know?

There are four Cubs prospects that cracked the list.

Cristian Hernandez is at #73.  This is his second time on the list.  He moved up nine spots from last year's #82.  

Making his debut on the list is Kevin Alcantara.  That a pretty decent debut slot.

Oft-injured Brennen Davis is on the list for the third time.  Last year he was #36.  He hit a combined .180 in 53 game at three minor league levels last year. That was good enough for him to move up a slot to #35.  Really??

The best-ranked Cub is Pete Crow-Armstrong, coming in a #21.  This is his first time on the list, and a debut at a spot this high is very impressive.
