Sixties Saturday - 1969 Topps

Today we are up to the last year of the decade.  1969 was a year that was filled with much excitement and anticipation, followed by major disappointment.

The 1969 Topps set has cards of most of the major players on the ill-fated 1969 Cubs.  The only one missing is Dick Selma, who was picked up in an April trade.

  3. Willie Smith photo from when he was a Tigers pitcher in 1963! Charley Smith the only man to play for Cards-Cubs-White Sox, Mets and yanks in the 1960s. Also, why different fonts for the Smiths?
