It looks like I'll have another "Kind-of Cubs Hall of Famer" to write about.
From this morning's Chicago Tribune.
I'm disappointed, but not surprised. The shame of it is that the Nationals don't really acknowledge their Montreal roots. Gary Carter and now Andre Dawson are Hall of Fame orphans.
It makes sense. Dawson did spend 10 full seasons with the Expos, versus six with the Cubs.
ReplyDeleteI kinda understand why the Nationals don't make a fuss about the Expos players -- how much of a connection can the Washington-area fans have with them? It would make more sense for them to celebrate the past of the Washington Senators teams.
