Welcome Back Greg Maddux
Today the Cubs announced that Greg Maddux has been hired to serve as an assistant to GM Jim Hendry. He will work with major and minor league pitchers during the spring and with minor leaguers during the season.
What a fantastic move! Maddux has a great baseball mind and was like a second pitching coach to the younger pitchers during his second go-around with the Cubs.
Right now, Ryne Sandberg will be the AAA manager in Iowa. Could we see in the near future Ryno as the Cubs' manager and Maddux as the pitching coach? That would be awesome
