2020 T206 Cubs

Topps decided to bring back a brand that has been dead for ten years, T206.  This version is like Topps Total, on-line only and released in waves.  Each wave has 50 cards and there was just one Cub in wave 1.


The cards as the same size as the original 1909 T206 cards and the design is similar, too.

It will be interesting to see how the set fares.  There were nearly 75,000 packs sold from the first wave.  The second wave came in at less than half of that, 35,000.  Wave 3 is for sale now and it is made up of prospects. Will that mean an even steeper drop or will the prospectors drive up sales?

    Probably drive up sales but that probably wont be good news for wave 40.

    I don't buy cards issued in "waves," in other words "where I have to pay attention." This is a hobby, I don't do deadlines.
