Today's oddball set was produced by American Archives in 1994. Their 100-card set tells the story of baseball's beginnings, from 1744 through the early part of the 20th century. The set was sold as a boxed-set.
The cards were not done cheaply. They are standard sized baseball cards and have a glossy coating. The design is well done, too.
There are no team designations on the cards, so I used the checklist from Teamsets4u. He lists seven cards as Cubs cards.
Wow, another design/set I have never seen before. Very ornate looking!
