The Cubs magazine Vineline often offered a bonus for new subscribers.
This is what you got for getting the magazine in 1991 - a Fergie Jenkins commemorative coin. The card measures 3 3/4" x 5 3/4". The coin is laminated to the card and I am going to leave it encased.
The Cubs celebrated his induction into Cooperstown in 1991, but didn't retire his number until 2009. Some guy named Maddux was wearing Fergie's #31 in 1991 and I guess the Cubs didn't want to take it away from him.
That Maddux fella didn't amount to much, did he? Haha.
