An insert set with the top 100 prospects has been a part of Bowman since 2010 (except in 2012). It's had different names but the concept has been the same. This year's set includes four Cubs prospects. That's the good news. The bad news is that the highest ranked Cub is #47. Also the fourth Cub is in the final spot at #100.
Does anyone know who's rankings is used by Topps? It it their own? I searched around a while and found several rankings but none matched what is used in this set.
Alcantara Update: Playing in AA, hitting .228, Current MLB Prospect ranking - #53
Caissie Update: Playing in AAA, hitting .285, Current MLB ranking - #36
Shaw Update: Playing in AA, hitting .208, Current MLB Prospect ranking - #43
Nice cards. Unfortunately, I don't know where Topps gets their prospect lists from, but if I had to guess, I'd think they have their own.
