Five Random Cubs Cards

I've got 21,791 Cubs cards from 317 different brands listed on a spreadsheet. A random number generator picked five cards, one each from the past several decades.

1900s - 1970s: 1967 Dexter Press Billy Williams  The RNG hits a home run on the first pitch!

1980s: 1987 Burger King #17 Ryne Sandberg  Great player on an ugly card

1990s: 1996 Team Issued Mike Campbell He pitched in just 13 games for the 1996 Cubs, but he was on the team at the right time to be included in this set, which was given away at Wrigley Field on July 15.  The set must have had a pretty quick production time because Campbell joined the team just a month before the set went out, on June 11.

2000s: 2000 Upper Deck #5 Brian McNichol He made four September appearances for the 1999 Cubs, posting a record of 0-2 with and ERA of 6.75.  Upper Deck gave him a Star Rookie card, which shows you how lousy the Cubs system was in 2000.  McNichol never pitched in the big leagues again after 1999.

2010s: 2013 Topps #44 Anthony Rizzo  I love that Rizzo, who wears #44, was give card #44 in the set.
