Caps and Clocks

Last night we went to a Tincaps game in Fort Wayne.  We tried to see a game there a few weeks ago when the South Bend Cubs were in town, but rain washed that game out.  We used our rainchecks to see the Tincaps take on the West Michigan Whitecaps.

Our seats were in the fourth row behind the Whitecaps dugout.  I love being able to get seats right behind the dugout and not having to take out a second mortgage to buy the tickets.

Our section was the Strikeout batter of the game section and in the seventh inning our guy struck out, so we got a free lottery ticket.

The game finished in less than three hours and saw the Whitecaps finish on top 5-2.  I still love the pitch clock and can't wait until it comes to the majors.

The Tincaps have a nice summary of all the different clock rules in their program.  Take a look at them if you aren't familiar with how it works.  Clicking on the pictures should give you a larger, more readable picture.

  1. Unfortunately some of the umpires in MWL don't pay closely to those set of rules & I'm sure you can contest while watching some of games.
