Five Random Cubs Cards

I've got 20,695 Cubs cards from 304 different brands listed on a spreadsheet. A random number generator picked five cards, one each from the past several decades.

1900s - 1970s: 1970 Topps #258 Paul Popovich This picture was taken duing Popovich's first tenure with the Cubs, from 1965 - 1967.  He was reacquired in a trade with the Expos on June 11, 1969.

1980s: 1989 Fleer #644 Rolando Roomes  Roomes never played for the 1989 Cubs.  He was traded to the Reds in December, 1988 for Lloyd McClendon.  It turned out well for the Cubs and McClendon played well during the pennant drive of 1989.

1990s: 1991 Star Nova #73 Ryne Sandberg Man, what an ugly color combination for a Cubs card.

2000s: 2002 Upper Deck #655 Alex Gonzalez Any time I see a card of Alex Gonzalez, all I can think of is the error he made in game 6 against the Marlins.  If he had made the double play, no one would remember Steve Bartman.

2010s: 2019 Topps 150 Years of Professional Baseball #30 Billy Williams It was nice to see Billy included in this insert set.  Topps has yet to include him in any 2022 sets other than a postage stamp card in Heritage
