Wrigley Wax Vs. Topps

Earlier in the year I made cards for any Cubs player that didn't have one made by Topps or Upper Deck. Several of thes players ended up with a card in the Update set.

Let's see how I did compared to Topps. My cards are on the left, and Topps' are on the right.














I don't think I did too badly!

    I'd give you the victory. I like the Topps DeWitt and Cashner, but only because of their horizontalness. Otherwise, I'd give you the clean sweep.

    I like the official Starlin Castro & Blake DeWitt cards, but otherwise I think you did better.

    First two go to you, Castro and DeWitt goes to Topps, and the Cashner is a tie.

    I'd give you all of them except for DeWitt. For some reason, I like the Topps version of that one better.

    Topps' silver lettering for the player names is completely lame (and unreadable)!

    Your mockups are awesome! I like yours better on the Silva and Cashner, and the others are at least a tie.

    You should use that Blake DeWitt shot for a 2010 Upper Deck card. That's exactly their style of semi-obscuring photography! And since you can't really see the logo OR the player, they wouldn't have to pay either MLBP or MLBPA for licensing!
