Javier Baez is the Cubs 2019 Diamond King. It's hard to argue with his selection following his near-MVP season last year. He's also a more appropriate choice than the Cubs first Diamond King in 1982, Ivan DeJesus. He was coming off of a below-Mendoza year, hitting just .194 in 1981.
