Heavy Lumber is one of the harder-to-find insert sets. Heavy Lumber can mean heavy prices. Sadly for my wallet, there were two Cubs cards in the second series.
Ryno and Sammy. The Sandberg was easier to find, but it was more expensive because there are still lots of Sandberg collectors out there.
Do these have an actual wood-like finish? If so, that's really cool. I'm actually glad Topps has made the decision to insert harder to pull inserts. Reminds me of the 90's.
ReplyDeleteWhen you look at the side of the card it seems like there are two layers. It feels like the front is printed on a very thin wood-type veneer. The back is cardboard.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the info. I wonder if they used the same process with their 1997 Team Timber inserts. Those were pretty cool too.
