2013 Bowman Chrome Sapphire Ernie Banks

I picked this up for the Ernie Banks collection.

Its a sapphire chrome version of Ernie's one and only original Bowman card from 1955.  This was a part of last year's Bowman Chrome set.  I guess I overlooked it last year because I don't collect Bowman Chrome.

It is an interesting contrast between the old fashioned Bowman TV set and modern chrome.  The blue looks nice because of the blue hat, but the blue and brown of the TV set don't work too well together.

Here's the two cards stacked up.  Topps did a pretty decent job reproducing the original design, but I'll stick with the brown wood grain.
