As mentioned yesterday, the Cubs had two new players take the field on Wednesday. I found some better pictures to use for their cards than the ones I took at Wrigley.
Outfielder Alexander Canario struck out in his MLB debut, a pinch-hit appearance in the eight inning. Canario faced his original organization, the Giants. He came to the Cubs in 2021 as part of the Kris Bryant trade.
The Cubs selected pitcher Luke Little in the fourth round of the 2020 draft. This season he pitched in A, AA, and AAA, striking out 105 batters in 63 innings while posting an ERA of 2.12. Those numbers will get you called up to the big leagues. He faced four batters while pitching the ninth inning on September 6 and struck out two of the four.
Nice work on both of those cards!
