Zzzzzzz......

I am very tired of your act, Carlos.

You have gone from the ace of the staff to the ass of the staff.

You have gone from the Cubs top pitcher to an overpriced middle inning reliever that can't get anyone out.

You are now in Milton Bradley territory. You need to go away.

Remember when you used to get along with your teammates?

Now you can take your "intensity" to another city.

  1. Wow... he flipped out last night! Luckily, I don't think you have to worry... if he keeps his word, he'll be retiring after this season.

    Remember when he said...

"Look, this is the only season I haven't won 16 or 18 or 14 games," he said. "If it happens again next season, two seasons in a row, I'll quit. Believe me, I'll quit. I just have to put this behind me."

He's not on pace to win 14, let along 18 games this year.

  2. Say what you will about Milton, but I'll take him over that fat windbag anyday. While Milton has his quirks, Zambrano is nothing but a cancer in that clubhouse. Hope for the Cubs fans sake this doesn't become the demise this season. These kind of things can fracture a team. Look at the 2008 Mariners as Exhibit A. I think that Carlos really needs to get some professional help, this isn't his first flip-out.

  3. I seem to recall Paul Sullivan (or another Chicago columnist) asking if it were time to trade Zambrano over a year ago. I agreed then and I agree now. Personally, I think he wants off the Cubs and would like to go cross town. Guillen would tolerate a like minded player the likes of Zambrano.
