Five Random Cubs Cards

I've got 19,504 Cubs cards from 285 different brands listed on a spreadsheet. A random number generator picked five cards, one each from the past several decades.

1900s - 1970s: 1960 Topps #248 Del Rice  The Cubs signed Rice in October, 1959, after he had been released by the Braves.  Both pictures show him in a Milwaukee uniform.  Topps thought that this was a good deal for the Cubs and gave him a card in the third series.  He played in just 18 games for the Cubs and was released in early June.

1980s: 1988 Wide World of Sports Conlon Charlie Root  This is from the third series of the set, released in 1988.  The first two series came out in 1986 and 1987.

1990s: 1994 Topps #92 Jose Bautista The 1994 season was one of regression for Bautisa. He went from 10-3 in 1993 to 3-4 in 1994.  His ERA went from 2.82 to 3.89.  He went from being a member of the Cubs to becoming a free agent after the season.

2000s: 2003 Bowman's Best #FS Felix Sanchez  The guy pitched in three games for the 2003 Cubs and has an autographed card from that year.  That means I had to have the card in my rule-following autograph collection.

2010s:  2018 Bowman BTP #83 Victor Caratini  I regret the trade of Caratini to the Padres more than Darvish.  The Cubs struggled all season to find a decent backup catcher.
