70s Saturday - 1974 Fleer Baseballs Wildest Days and Plays Cubs

Today's set features Cubs cards from the '70s but not Cubs players.  The 1974 Fleer set "Baseball's Wildest Days and Plays" was pretty self-explanatory.

Cubs first baseman Frank Chance was hit five time in a double header on May 30, 1904.  Today there would have been brawl after he was hit a third time.

Before the 1979 23-33 Cubs Phillies game, there was the 26-23 game in 1922.

The legitimacy of the wrong-way runner story is questioned in this article.
